POPPIES!!!   Below are photos of the displays using poppies knitted by North Crawley Ladies:

NCL meet in the Public Bar at The Cock Pub on the 3rd Wednesday of each month, plus additional trips out. If you would like to join the group or need a lift to one of the trips, please contact Sue Garner on s2ueg@hotmail.co.uk or Vera Jenkins on 07834 452861

At the October meeting Anna came along and talked about the village school and the number of children on roll. Anna also gave out bags for collecting unwanted clothes, towels, curtains, etc..  These items can also be left at Anna's house (next to the Cock) over the next week.  If anyone would like to donate a raffle prize for the school's Christmas raffle, please let  Anna have that too.

I left the meeting with a very large bag of poppies, a huge thank you to all of you who dug out your needles and had a go; I will count them!  We set a date of Friday 9th November at 10 am at the Church to start decorating the War Memorial and the Church in readiness for Remembrance Day. The more hands the easier it will be, so please come along with all your creative ideas, scissors, netting, glue etc., oh! and a good helping of enthusiasm!!

14th November, trip to the Spa at Centre Parcs, Woburn.

Pre Christmas craft sale at Sue Garner’s house (71b Kilpin Green) 10am to 2pm Thursday 15th November. Items include, bunting, stockings, teddies, children’s clothes, cushions etc etc; all unique and reasonably priced as this is a hobby and not a profit making business. I also have fabric Halloween pumpkins for sale, you’re welcome to pop in between 2pm-4pm Monday 29th October.

21st November. NCL general get together, plus information from Vera regarding the Strictly Final!

19th December. NCL Christmas meal at the Cock being organised by Vera.  Lots (20ish I think) of names were added to the list and deposits paid last night; should be a good night.

Carols around the village. Friday 21st December meet at 5.30 at the top of Kilpin Green by Nixies Walk, finishing in front of the Church at approximately 6.30 for mulled wine and mince pies.
